About Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport
Formerly known as Pedras Rubras Airport, it only adopted a new name in 1990, when a new terminal was inaugurated. It was then called Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, in honour of a famous Portuguese Prime Minister.
Currently considered one of the best airports in Europe, Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, also known as Oporto Airport, operates national and international flights to destinations in Europe, Africa, North America, and South America.
