Water use and management as a priority
The cement industry, although not a significant sector in water consumption, represents about 2% of its worldwide consumption. The water used in the manufacturing process (in equipment cooling) is in a closed circuit (recycling/reuse) and part of it is lost through evaporation.
The availability of this resource is vital for the future of operations and the sustainability of Secil Group's business, and the responsible use that we make of this resource is equally important
Therefore, to face this challenge and promote environmental sustainability, we consider necessary the implementation of a water resources management strategy, including the monitoring and definition of measures to reduce and reuse water.
