Secil Awards

The Secil Awards, an initiative created in Portugal in 1992, aim to encourage and promote the public recognition of the quality of architectural and civil engineering works carried out by the Portuguese using the material that is at the heart of Secil's activity, cement.
What are the Secil Awards

As part of the Secil Group's social responsibility policy, the Secil Awards aim to distinguish the best in Architecture and Civil Engineering. They are organised in collaboration with the Portuguese representative organisations of the professions involved: the Order of Architects and the Order of Engineers.

 

This initiative, which has two separate competitions - National and Universities - has been honoured since its first edition with the high sponsorship of the Presidency of the Republic, thus becoming the leading award in Portugal in Architecture and Civil Engineering.

Rewarding the best projects made in Portugal for over 30 years

  • National Awards

    Secil Group, together with the Order of Engineers and the Order of Architects, grants the Secil Awards at a national level, publicly recognising authors and works that, by incorporating cement, are significant contributors to the enrichment of Portuguese engineering and architecture.

  • Universities Awards

    The Secil Universities Awards are granted in partnership with the Order of Engineers and the Order of Architects and aim to encourage the quality of academic work and the public recognition of students from Portuguese Civil Engineering and Architecture Schools.
