What is the project about?
The thin coatings that have been applied to traditional masonry solutions show a higher propensity for the early development of pathologies when applied over thermal solutions. OnThermalHp aims to optimise new thin coating solutions for application over thermal mortars and external thermal insulation solutions, which minimise the risk of pathology development. Initially, pathological buildings will be instrumented to identify the critical factors for the development of pathologies. Then, environmental conditions prone to the development of these pathologies will be recreated in the laboratory and the performance of new coating products will be evaluated.
