Industrial aggregates are raw materials for the construction of other materials. Therefore, their choice has a strong influence on the quality and behaviour of the final products. The Secil Group, through Secil Agregados, extracts and markets limestone and granite aggregates, certified for various construction uses.
The production of aggregates begins with the extraction of material from quarries. Then, the stone is removed by explosives detonation after opening the holes where the explosive charge is introduced.
After this stage, the material is sent to the treatment plant to undergo the processes of fragmentation, crushing, washing and qualification.
Although products are generally stored in piles in the open air, some materials require the protection of a silo.
The trucks are then loaded directly at the treatment area and driven to the delivery point.
